Eligibility 

  • Educational qualification & Age limit:
    • Foreman (Chemical):  Degree in Chemical Engineering from any recognized University plus one year experience in the relevant field. OR Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University. OR Associate Member of Institution of Engineers in Chemical Engineering plus one year experience in the relevant field from a recognized organization.
      • 30 years
    • Foreman (Electronics): Degree in Electronics Engineering or Technology from any recognized University plus one year experience in the relevant field. OR Master’s Degree in Electronics or in Physics with Electronics as special subject. OR Degree from the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers plus one year experience in the relevant field from a recognised organization. OR Associate Member of Institute of Engineers in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering plus one year experience in the relevant field from a recognised organization. 
      • 35 years
    • Foreman (Mechanical): Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technology from any recognized University plus one year experience in the relevant field. OR Associate Member of Institution of Engineers in Mechanical Engineering plus one year experience in the relevant field from a recognised organisation.
      • 30 years
    • Technical Officer (Forestry) (Gr.II): Master’s Degree in Statistics or Operations Research or Forestry or Economics (with Statistics) or Commerce (with Statistics) or Mathematics (with Statistics) Or Agriculture (with Statistics) or two years’ Post-Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management from a recognized institute/university.
      • 30 years
    • Assistant Registrar General (Language): Master’s Degree in Linguistics from a recognized University. 
      • 50 years
    • Research Officer/Planning Officer: Master's Degree in Economics or Statistics or Mathematics or Psychology or Commerce or Education of a recognized university or equivalent.
      • 30 years
    • Deputy Controller of Mines: (i) Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution; (ii) ten years’ experience in Metalliferous (non-coal) mines in mine management position or in the Government Department dealing with mines and minerals as Gazetted Officer; OR (i) Master of Engineering or Master of Technology in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution; (ii) eight years’ experience in Metalliferous (noncoal) mines in mine management position or in the Government Department dealing with mines and minerals as Gazetted Officer.
      • 50 years
  • Application Fee: Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.

Selection Process


  • The category-wise minimum level of suitability in interviews, irrespective of whether the selection is made only by interview or by Recruitment Test followed by interview, will be UR-50 marks, OBC-45 marks, SC/ST/PH-40 marks, out of the total marks of interview being 100. 
  • In cases where selection is made by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by interview, the candidate will have to achieve minimum level of suitability in their respective category at both stages i.e. ‘Recruitment Test’ as well as ‘Interview’. The minimum level of suitability in case of RT shall be decided by the Commission on case to case basis.
